Haiti Mercy Mission: Update 1/15/2010 PDF Print E-mail

I wanted to give everyone a brief update on Haiti.  We are happy to report and Ann and Sassette have returned safely to the orphanage from Port-Au-Prince.  They have brought with them four children in need of a home for the time being.  It was a happy reunion and we are happy to have everyone accounted for directly with Haiti Mercy Mission.

The reports are starting to come back to areas outside the capital on the numbers who have died. Many people travel to the capital during the week to work and get supplies.  The rumors and confirmations of lost loved ones are starting to reach all of Haiti including the villages.

We are working to confirm the roads from the current location of Haiti Mercy Mission to the Dominican Republic are open.  It is our hope to get the volunteers back to the US from the Dominican Republic Airport.  The leaders of the mission will then be discussing the best ways to help and provide assistance given the very challenging times that lay ahead for everyone in Haiti.  Security, Fuel, Food, and Supplies will be in short supply and planning now is critical.

I am asking again for DONATIONS.  If you have a church or work group that would consider making a donation you can mail checks too:

All donations will go directly to AID.  Or you can CHIP-IN using your VISA or MASTERCARD & PAYPAL:
